Radiographic Testing (RT)

Radiographic testing (RT) is a sophisticated non-destructive testing method used to inspect a variety of products including castings, forgings, and welds.

During the testing process, objects are exposed to X-rays or gamma rays, creating an image that is processed either on film or displayed digitally. Our certified radiographic testing personnel expertly set up the equipment, manage the exposure, process the imaging data, and interpret the results in accordance with industry codes and specifications.

Our RT Services

At Twins Industrial Services, all our radiographic testing personnel are trained, qualified, and certified to the highest industry standards. Our team is experienced with the latest equipment, testing techniques, and interpretation methods to ensure accurate, reliable results for your critical inspection needs.

Conventional Radiography

This method uses X-rays or gamma rays to capture images on traditional film of the internal structure of a material. This technique reveals hidden flaws such as cracks, porosity, voids, and inclusions that cannot be detected from the surface.

Digital Radiography

Advanced method that uses digital X-ray technology to produce instant, high-resolution images of a component’s internal structure. Unlike traditional film radiography, DR provides faster results, enhanced image clarity, and easier data storage and sharing.

Computer Radiography

Advanced method that uses reusable imaging plates to capture X-ray data, which is then processed into high-quality digital images. CR offers many advantages over traditional film, including faster turnaround, improved image consistency, and reduced material costs.
